M2

As an alternate computer to my computer stated in P4, I would go for a Macbook Pro 13-inch 2.5GHz. This is not as good as my original choice because it is sold at around £900, plus it is not as good as my laptop in terms of performance. The Macbook has only a dual-core processor, whereas the Samsung Ultrabook has a quad-core processor. They both have 4GB of RAM, so they are both the same in terms of RAM. The hard drives are both 500GB. The only thing that the Macbook has the edge in is the graphics, as They both have Intel HD cards, but the Samsung has the 3000 model, wheres as the Mac has the slightly better 4000 model. Not much difference but still a small advatage of the Mac, certainly not worth the extra £300.

So overall, the Samsung is so much better in pretty much every aspect: Storage, speed, graphics are basically the same and the price is so much lower for the Samsung. The Samsung Ultrabook is by far the much better option.

M3

This is the old computer of one my IT teachers. As you can see it has a decent overall score, but its not amazing. The average score is around 900, which means this is way off other computers and could be so much better. The CPU score is the worst of all the scores since CPU should be MUCH higher than that. To improve the performance of the computer he could check to see how many processors the computer is using,  but because the CPU is so low, I doubt any changes within the system will make it that much better, so I would buy a new processor.

The RAM is also quite low. Most computers that are around the overall average score of 900, have a RAM score of around 200-250, so this way behind. I would buy more/faster RAM.

The graphics test was dreadful. 29 is an appalling score. This is no where near good enough to play quite a lot of games to their full potential. There is only one way he can improve this to the level that is good enough - to buy a new Mac. Mac's graphics cards are not replaceable and so he cannot simply buy  anew graphics card, if he wants good graphics, he will have to ditch his current Macbook and buy a new one.
